FISCAL CONSERVATIVE

We must live within our means and tighten our belt when necessary. Texas must not be allowed to follow the examples set by the State of California or our federal government concerning her finances.  Wayward and irresponsible spending habits must not be allowed to take hold here.  I believe that your money must be used wisely.  I believe we must stop wasteful spending at all levels and make certain that we fund our essential agencies and programs without raising our tax revenues to do it.  Although difficult choices must undoubtedly be made, thoughtful, accountable and responsible management of state funds now will serve Texas well for years to come.
