Price Joint Authors Bill to Protect Water Resources, Improve the State's Water Infrastructure

Austin, TX --- State Representative Four Price joint authored one of the 83rd Legislative Session's most significant water bills, House Bill 4. If passed, this proposed legislation, filed by Natural Resources Committee Chairman Allan Ritter, would allocate $2 billion from the state's Rainy Day Fund to be used for the financing of certain water projects, including investments in new reservoirs, desalination plants and conservation efforts.

Price Joint Authors House Bill 105, Supports Texas Parks

Austin, TX --- State Representative Four Price has given his full support to a legislative measure that allows the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to use more of the money collected from the sale of sporting goods equipment in order to maintain Texas parks.

Price Recognizes Capitol Staff for 2013 Legislative Session

Austin, TX --- State Representative Four Price is pleased to recognize his Capitol staff team and their hard work for a successful first 60 days of the 83rd Legislative Session. Earlier this year, Price named Jacquelyn Greenwood as Communications Director and Policy Analyst, Meredith Earwood as Legislative Assistant and Scheduler, and Hal Talton as returning Chief of Staff and General Counsel.

 

Statement by Representative Four Price on Abuse Prevention Bill, HB 220

Representative Four Price's House Bill 220 – a measure aimed at lengthening prison sentences for perpetrators convicted of repeated physical abuse or injury against a child, an elderly individual, or a disabled person – has been scheduled for a public hearing at the Capitol. The bill will be heard by the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence on Tuesday, March 12 at 10:30 a.m. or upon adjournment of the House.

In his desire to bring awareness to this important anti-abuse bill, Representative Four Price issued the following statement:

Price Promotes Brain Injury Prevention and Awareness

Austin, TX --- During the 82nd legislative session, State Representative Four Price authored and championed a bill, known as "Natasha's Law," to help protect Texas youth from the effects of dangerous sports-related concussions. This session, Price continues to advocate for action to curb instances of traumatic brain injuries.

Four Price Releases Statement on 83rd Legislative Session

AUSTIN - State Representative Four Price was sworn in today for his second 2-year term in the Texas House of Representatives.

Price's wife, Karen, and their four children, Abby, Brooke, Cody and Curry, accompanied him on the House Floor during the ceremony.

"I am privileged and humbled to have the honor of again representing House District 87 in the Texas House of Representatives," Price said. "I look forward to a productive legislative session and the opportunity to advance the goals of my constituents and our region."
